Administration Building
Working with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, Beardsley provided full-service architectural and engineering services for a new Administration Building that houses 16 of the Tribe’s government division offices, Tribal Council offices and meeting rooms, educational/public meeting spaces, and storage in a new 54,000 square foot three story, steel framed building.
The building design includes a central three story atrium which provides staff with easy access between departments across ‘bridges’ within the atrium. Large windows maximize daylight into interior spaces of the narrow office wings to the north and south.
The building includes sustainable energy efficient systems such as ground source geothermal heating and cooling heat pump HVAC system, solar photovoltaic electric power supplementation, high life-cycle and recyclable/renewable building materials, high efficiency lighting, high efficiency window glazing, and storm-water and erosion control systems on site. NYSERDA incentive funding was pursued for all of the above elements.
